The briefing
The site goes on the front page in an hour. Three pods will not be enough; six should be.
Scaling a deployment is changing one number. kubectl scale changes it imperatively — quick, but the change lives only in the cluster. Editing the manifest and applying it changes the record too, so the next person to apply the file does not quietly scale you back down.
What you'll do
- Run 6 ready replicas of web
- The Service routes to all 6
- Bonus star: Scale declaratively: apply a manifest that says replicas: 6
The mission checks the cluster, not your keystrokes: any fix that works, passes.
