The briefing
The export should run every night without anyone typing anything. A CronJob makes a Job on a schedule, in cron's five fields: minute, hour, day of month, month, day of week. 0 2 * * * is 2am daily.
Nobody wants to wait until 2am, so here */1 * * * * — every minute — stands in for it. nightly.yaml is almost ready: give it the schedule.
What you'll do
- Create the CronJob nightly-export, scheduled every minute
- See a scheduled run complete
- Bonus star: Don't wait: start a run now with kubectl create job --from=cronjob/nightly-export
The mission checks the cluster, not your keystrokes: any fix that works, passes.
