Wrong door

Checkout is broken. The frontend calls http://cart/api/cart and gets Connection refused — yet the cart pod is Running and Ready, and the cart Service exists.

A Service forwards its port to each pod's targetPort. When nothing listens on the targetPort, the connection is refused, however healthy the pod.

Objectives

  • Find where the connection goes
  • The frontend reaches the cart API through the cart Service
  • Bonus: Check the cart's logs to see which port it listens on

Best on a computer with a keyboard. It works on a phone, with shortcuts under the terminal.
