It doesn't fit
The render farm asked for 6 workers, each requesting 5 CPUs. Four are running. Two have been Pending all morning.
The scheduler places a pod only where its *requests* fit in what the node has left — kubectl describe node shows Allocatable and Allocated resources. Each worker here has 12 CPUs, and kind's own pods already use a little.
Objectives
- Find out why two pods can't be placed
- All 6 render pods running, each still requesting at least 1 CPU
- Bonus: Read a node's Allocated resources with kubectl describe node
Best on a computer with a keyboard. It works on a phone, with shortcuts under the terminal.
